The Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO and the Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council are offering a number of exciting scholarships this year. We hope that all who are eligible will apply for these great opportunities.
Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO Scholarships
The Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO is offering six $1,000 scholarships in addition to several $500 and $1,000 Platinum sponsored scholarships. Students must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend college to apply. To be eligible, applicants must be a member, or member’s child or grandchild, of a union affiliated with the Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO. Union members must live or work in the jurisdiction of the Central Massachusetts AFL-CIO.
Applications are due on May 1, 2022 and will be chosen at the May Community Services Committee Meeting. Winners will be announced at the Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament and scholarships will be awarded at the Labor Day breakfast.

Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council Scholarships
The Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council is offering three $1,000 scholarships this year to seniors looking to attend college. Applicants must be a high school senior living in Southeastern Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and the Islands whose parents, legal guardians, aunts, uncles, or grandparents are members of a labor union affiliated with the Greater Southeastern Massachusetts Labor Council.
Application packets are due on April 22, 2022. Students must submit a 700-word essay, a completed application form, and a high school transcript to apply.
