Brothers and Sisters,
Today and every day, we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. From fighting for fundamental civil rights, to supporting workers throughout the labor movement, his vision drove our country forward toward greater equity.
Dr. King’s fearless leadership sparked historic changes, including the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act in 1965, and more. This day serves as a reminder to continue building on his work to ensure a brighter future for all.
Each day, we must actively choose to continue to honor Dr. King’s legacy and advance equity within the building trades.
