Brothers and Sisters,

Training is at the core of what we do at Local 4. At our modern training centers in Canton and Medway, Massachusetts, we prepare men and women to become highly-skilled Operating Engineers. This week, National Apprenticeship Week, we have the chance to celebrate our top-notch apprenticeship programs.

If you know someone who is interested in applying for Local 4’s apprenticeship program next fall, click here to sign up for more information.

We know that union apprenticeships like ours are more important than ever. Just earlier this year, we notched a victory fighting hard against Industry-Recognized Apprenticeship Programs (IRAPs), which would have threatened to lower industry standards and cut key requirements. Thanks to our collective action, we defeated it and will be able to continue our apprenticeships for years to come.

To our Training Center staff, thank you for your hard work and dedication. And Apprentices, continue to stay focused and safe as you train. We are confident that you will be ready for the demands of the profession and effective leaders in all that you do.

In Solidarity,
