Brothers and Sisters,

For over two decades, Women in Construction Week has highlighted the skills of women in the construction trades, fostering a diverse and strong workforce. This week, March 2–8, 2025, please join us in celebrating the women in Local 4 and across the union trades.

The Sisters in Local 4 work in all aspects of our trade: operating cranes, excavators, drill rigs, front-end loaders, dozers, and all other heavy equipment.  I would also like to acknowledge our instructors at our Training Centers for their commitment to educating and training our up-and-coming operators. Our Local 4 Sisters work hard and represent the Union with dignity and professionalism.

“Women in Construction Week is a time to celebrate the women who contribute and continue to break barriers. Women strengthen our workforce with added perspectives and mirror the diverse community we serve.  Their presence in construction not only enhances the industry but also inspires and paves the way for future generations,” says Tayla Rose, Local 4 Organizer. “I am proud to be a member of this Union that prioritizes equal opportunities, resources, and respect for our Sisters and Brothers, alike.”

Local 4 proudly offers competitive wages, great benefits, and strong support to workers regardless of gender. This is the union way. Thank you to all of our Local 4 Sisters for your dedication and expertise. Our communities are lucky to have you and so are we!

In Solidarity,
