Brothers and Sisters,
Today we thank our veterans for their service and sacrifice. These brave men and women train diligently to protect this nation and it is our responsibility to continue supporting them after they complete their military service.
One way that Local 4 cares for our veterans is by engaging with the non-profit organization Helmets to Hardhats. This year, we proudly donated $10,000 to the program, which works to connect veterans to the Union trades following their service in the U.S. Armed Forces.
Our very own Chris Gonsalves joined our Apprenticeship Program through Helmets to Hardhats and will be speaking at the State House next week to share his story with others. It is our hope that word about this program continues to spread to offer our veterans the opportunities they deserve.
Thank you to our veteran members for your service! We encourage all of our members to take the time today to thank the veterans in your lives and communities.
