Brothers and Sisters,
Please take a moment today to join Local 4 in reflecting on the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. Each year we celebrate Memorial Day to honor and remember the brave men and women who have died in service for the United States of America. We extend our deepest gratitude to the members of the U.S. Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice to secure and maintain our personal freedoms. Among those we remember are our own Local 4 Brothers and Sisters who laid down their lives for our country. Their legacy lives on in the strength and solidarity of our Union Community.
We gather together with our communities and families on this holiday to partake in time-honored traditions such as placing flags in our national cemeteries, decorating headstones to honor the fallen, and attending parades and memorial services. I encourage you to join your neighbors and participate in your local ceremonies honoring our courageous servicemen and women.
As a Union, we honor the memories of the nation’s fallen military heroes, preserve our sense of community, and uphold the values that tie us together. Together, we stand strong and support one another.
