Operating Engineers Local 4 becomes 11th union endorsement for Feltes
The Operating Engineers Local 4 has backed state Senate Majority Leader Dan Feltes for governor, becoming his 11th organized labor endorsement.
The local says it represents more than 5,000 heavy equipment operators, mechanics, surveyors, equipment house employees, wastewater technicians and apprentices throughout eastern Massachusetts, eastern New Hampshire and the state of Maine.
Operating Engineers Local 4, William McLaughlin, business manager of the local, said, “Throughout his career, Senator Feltes has stood up for working families. The people he represented as a legal aid lawyer are the same people Dan is fighting for now during this public health crisis and I know those are the people Dan will continue to fight for as we rebuild our economy. We need someone in the Governor’s office who has a strong record and is willing to stand up and fight for workers and their families.”
Feltes said, “I am honored to receive the support of the Operating Engineers Local 4. Throughout my career, working people and the issues that impact them and their families are always my top priority. As governor, I will continue to put working men and women first and make sure every bill that reaches my desk is written with them and their families in mind.”
